Using insurance
Insurance billing through Rula
Rooted Oak Therapy & Coaching partners with Rula for insurance billing. Because participation and benefits vary by insurance plan, prospective clients should contact Rula or use Rula’s insurance-verification process to determine whether their plan is connected with Rula and whether services may be covered.
Confirm your benefits
Contact Rula before beginning services to ask whether your insurance is accepted and to verify expected copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and any other out-of-pocket responsibility.
Billing stays with Rula
When a client is eligible to receive services through Rula, insurance claims and related billing are handled directly through Rula and the client’s insurance plan. Coverage is determined by Rula and the insurer and is not guaranteed by Rooted Oak.
Medicare update
Direct billing approval is in progress.
Rooted Oak is currently pursuing Medicare approval and enrollment for direct billing. Medicare should not be considered accepted for direct billing until that process is complete. Please contact the practice for the most current status before scheduling.
Private payment
Clients may choose to pay privately rather than use insurance. Private-pay clients may request a superbill when appropriate, although reimbursement is determined solely by the client’s insurance plan.
A limited sliding scale may be available based on current openings.
Cancellation policy
Please provide at least 36 hours’ notice when canceling or rescheduling. Late cancellations and missed appointments are charged the full session fee. One no-fee late cancellation may be allowed every six months.
A Good Faith Estimate is available to self-pay and uninsured clients.
